Halloween

The weather is getting cooler and the night is getting just a bit spookier - it's time for Halloween!

Celebrate the holiday with this Halloween art box! The box contains all the high-quality art supplies kids need to make four not-so-scary projects. They'll create with paint, beads, clay, and oil pastel. Plus, they'll be learning about basic art techniques as they work. In the science project, kids will mix up a bubbling brew with mesmerizing colors. As the art projects dry, they can get busy in the kitchen and bake pumpkin muffins.

Activities in the Halloween Box:
Paint-Resist Watercolor Spiderwebs
Young artists get to try out two art techniques in this project. First, they'll draw a spiderweb with a white oil pastel. Then, they'll use the wet-on-wet watercolor technique to paint on top of the oil pastel. They'll see paint-resist in action and see their spiderwebs come to life!

Haunted House with Squish Painted Background
Here's a new type of finger painting for little ones. They'll squeeze a bit of paint onto their paper, but they'll add a sheet of plastic wrap on top before they get to work with their fingers. It's an exciting sensory activity that produces an abstract background for their haunted house.

Creepy Crawlies Halloween Necklaces
Spiders, bats, and mice are just a few of the creepy crawly animals at Halloween. This craft project turns them into art! Kids will use plastic critters to print on clay pendants. When the clay is dry, they'll add beads to create a necklace.
