Take children to a faraway magical land with the fairy-tale illustrations of Virginia Sterrett! This artist achieved incredible success as an illustrator when she was just a teenager in the early 1900s. Even though she was female and was still very young, two disqualifying qualities at that time, the beauty of her enchanting artwork was undeniable. As children work to recreate one of her most famous illustrations, they'll also learn a bit about the process of illustrating books and hear about a few classic books that Sterrett illustrated. 

This pack contains all of the supplies you'll need in order for 10 or more children to complete a reproduction of Blondine on Tortoise using metallic foil paper and black paint for a strong contrast. To give you a head start on prepping the lesson, a reproducible PDF tutorial will be emailed to you before the art box ships.
