2nd Grade through High School
Does science influence art? Absolutely! Lead your students in exploring the combination of art, science, and Pointillism with this class pack devoted to Georges Seurat. They'll learn about his one-of-a-kind style of applying dots color-by-color and see how it revolutionized the art world. Then they'll put the style to work as they create their own piece of art!
This pack contains all of the supplies you'll need in order for 10 or more children to re-create one of Seurat's most famous works: A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte. They will use cotton swabs and bubble wrap to create the dots. To give you a head start on prepping the lesson, a reproducible PDF tutorial will be emailed to you before the art box ships.
If you're looking to extend the impact of this art lesson, check out our list of books about Georges Seurat.
Please note- class packs may take up to 2 weeks to ship.
