Castles

This month's box is straight out of the Middle Ages! Children will have the opportunity to put their imagination to work in creating a multi-level castle, a knight with a suit of armor, and a magical dragon with a multi-colored egg. They will use a variety of materials to design their creations: paint, aluminum foil, feathers, crinkle paper, buttons, and much more! Every project is open-ended and encourages children to learn through the process of making art. Plus, don't miss the crossbow science project and interactive origami project!

Activities in the Castles Box:
Pulled Paint Castles
Kids will use a pulled paint technique to create a unique mixture of colors on their paper. After the paint dries, they will let their creativity run free to turn the columns of paint into castles, windows, bridges, moats, bricks - whatever castle features they can imagine!
