Nocturnal Animals

What do owls, fireflies, hedgehogs, and bats all have in common? They’re nocturnal! In this art box, explore these nighttime creatures and learn about what makes them so special. Design your own night forest and two owls to live there. Next, try a super fun paint splatter technique to make a sparkly night background for fireflies. You will also find hedgehogs featured in two pieces of this box: the recipe (yummy cookies!) and an interactive art piece that is fun to create and fun to play with! Kids complete their nighttime journey by learning about the science of chromatography and using coffee filters to make bats.
